Day 1 (21st July)
Workshops and Doctoral Consortium

The workshops and Doctoral Consortium will be held in the Forum am Domshof (link to google maps). This is the University of Bremen’s only building located in the city center, while the main campus is situated on the outskirts of the city. The Forum houses the Faculty of Law and is centrally located, making it easily accessible by public transport and from various hotels in the city centre.
- Registration will be in the Kassenhalle, which is accessible both from the Domshof, as well as from inside the Forum after entering through the courtyard.
- Workshops and the Doctoral Consortium will be on the 2nd and 6th floor of the Forum (see detailed program for room information)
- Coffee Breaks will be catered on the 6th floor, room 60003.
For lunch, there are many great options around the Domshof and in the surrounding area, e.g. food trucks on the Domshof, Markthalle 8 (streetfood court), and lots of restaurants.
The address of the Forum is: Domshof 26-28, 28195 Bremen. Please note that on Google Maps, the entry for the Forum is mislabeled as “Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Bremen”, which is the name of the library located inside the Forum; there is no entry labeled “Forum am Domshof”. Just navigate to the address or the Google Maps entry for the library (link to google maps), enter through the big arch with the name “Universität Bremen”, and you will find us right there!
Welcome Reception
The Welcome Reception will take place at the Haus der Bürgerschaft (English: Parliament House; link to google maps) from 7pm on 21st July. The building, which houses Bremen’s parliament, is located on the market square in the city centre, next to the town hall and just across the street from the Cathedral and the Domshof. Built in 1966, the building is also frequently used as a cultural venue for exhibitions.

Days 2-4 (22nd – 24th July)

The main conference will be held in the Haus der Wissenschaft, (link to google maps) a vibrant public hub for science in the city center designed to make current scientific research accessible, engaging, and understandable for everyone. It hosts varying exhibitions on the ground floor, while CUI will take place mostly on the first floor. The ground floor and first floor of the building are fully wheelchair accessible.
Haus der Wissenschaft:
- Registration will be on the ground floor, right behind the entrance to the building
- Opening/Closing, keynote presentations, and main plenary sessions including paper and provocation presentations will be held in the large auditorium, the Olbers-Saal, on the first floor.
- Poster presentations and demos will be shown in “Sitzungsraum” (meeting room), located at the end of the hallway opposite from the Olbers-Saal.
- Coffee breaks and lunch will be catered in two rooms, in order to have enough space for everyone: the Cafeteria on the ground floor, and the small auditorium “Kleiner Saal” next to the Olbers-Saal on the first floor.
