Through its airport, Bremen can be easily reached for many European citizens while Hamburg Airport is not far away, with frequent trains connecting international guests from in and outside Europe to arrive in Bremen within two hours. We can however issue a visa support letter. The following info should be posted on the conference website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n ACM does not provide letters for transport of vendor or presenter equipment. ACM suggests shipping the materials insured to the conference facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both of the conference venues (the Forum am Domshof and the Haus der Wissenschaft) are located at the Domshof, the central square next to the Bremen Cathedral (called \u201cDom\u201d in German) in the historic old city. As such, they are a short distance of <10 minutes on foot from most of our recommended accommodations. Beyond this, though, the city is very accessible through various means of public transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The public transit stops \u201cDomsheide\u201d (pronounced \u201cdoms-heide\u201d) and \u201cSch\u00fcsselkorb\u201d are both right next to the Cathedral Square (Domshof). Many tram and bus lines stop at both, and connect them with the Main Train Station every few minutes. The tram Line 6 connects the Airport with the city center (stopping at Domsheide and Sch\u00fcsselkorb), the Main Train Station, and the University Campus at the edge of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The B\u00fcrgerschaft, where the welcome reception will be held, is at the Market Square right next to the Cathedral Square (2 minutes on foot from the venues), and thus is also near the tram stops Domsheide and Sch\u00fcsselkorb. The restaurant Fr\u00f6lichs, where we will meet for the Conference Dinner, is at the edge of the city center, right next to the tram stop \u201cRadio Bremen\u201d. The tram Lines 2 and 3 run from Domsheide to Radio Bremen (8 minutes by tram).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tickets for public transit can be bought at ticket machines at some – but not all – tram stops, including the Airport, the Main Train Station, and Domsheide; through the app of the BSAG (the Bremen Transit Company); as well as inside busses and trams. In busses, tickets have to be bought from the driver, while trams have a ticket machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2022, Bremen was recognized as the most cyclist-friendly city in Germany among cities with populations over 500,000. A key part of Bremen\u2019s cycling culture is its readily available bike-sharing services. If you are interested in exploring the city on two wheels, we would recommend to rent a Bike through BRE.BIKE<\/a> – the first 30 minutes of biking cost 0,99\u20ac.
